Free Pixel Art Sprites

Pixel sprites live or die on their edges. One blurry row of pixels and the whole thing looks like a smudged screenshot. Every sprite on this page is drawn with hard edges, a limited palette, and a fully transparent background, so it stays sharp at any whole-number scale.

The collection covers the three things a small retro game needs first. Characters: a teal knight with five animated actions, plus a mage, a ninja, a robot, a pumpkin ghost, and an armored knight. Enemies: a dragon, a golem, a giant spider, a sea serpent, a dark knight, a bat, a floating skull, and a slime. Items: a chest, a potion, a shield, and a coin. The mascot sheets share one color scheme, so they sit together on screen without clashing.

Two settings matter when you import them. Set your engine's texture filter to nearest (Godot calls it Nearest, Unity calls it Point with no compression), and scale by whole numbers, like 2× or 3×, never 1.5×. If you want the same style at a specific grid size such as 16, 32, or 64 pixels, the generator can draw new sprites at that pixel size, and the Pixel Art Maker lets you touch up single pixels afterward.
