SpriteGen ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website spritegen.ai (the "Service").
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website
and use our AI-powered sprite sheet generation service.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account data — When you register, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in via Google or GitHub, we receive your public profile information from those providers.
- User content — Character descriptions, perspective and style choices, and other inputs you submit to generate sprite sheets.
- Payment data — If you purchase credits, payment processing is handled by third-party providers (e.g., Stripe). We do not store your full credit card number.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data — Pages visited, features used, timestamps, referral URLs, UTM parameters, and general interaction patterns.
- Device data — Browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and language preference.
- IP address and location — We derive approximate country-level location from your IP address for analytics and service optimization. We do not perform precise geolocation.
- Cookies — We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
- Process your sprite sheet generation requests via AI models.
- Manage your account and credit balance.
- Send transactional emails related to your account (e.g., purchase confirmations).
- Analyze usage trends to improve performance and user experience.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
3. AI-Generated Content
Your character descriptions are sent to third-party AI model providers to generate sprite sheets. These providers may process your prompts
in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not share your personal account information with AI providers — only the
content necessary to fulfill your request.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:
- Service providers — Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, email delivery),
Stripe / Creem / PayPal (payment processing),
third-party large language model providers (for character + style extraction),
third-party generative AI model providers (for sprite sheet generation),
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (anonymous usage analytics).
- Legal obligations — When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
- Business transfers — In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Generated sprite sheets and prompts may be retained for service improvement purposes. Unless you hide a generation from the gallery in your dashboard, its image and your prompt may be shown publicly in the SpriteGen gallery; your name, email address, and other account details are never shown there.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS),
secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected].
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your
information to countries that may have different data protection laws.
