An animated sprite is really a sprite sheet: every frame of the motion laid out on one image, in a grid your engine steps through. Everything on this page moves. You can see it play right in the preview before you download anything.
There are two layouts here. The monsters and items are 4-frame strips in a single row: a dragon flapping its wings, a golem whose eyes flare, a bat, a floating skull, a slime squishing flat, a fox flicking its tail, a potion bubbling, a shield catching the light, and a coin spinning. Most of them loop, so you can play them forever at 6 to 10 frames per second. The treasure chest is different. It opens, so play it once and hold the last frame. The knight sheets are 8 frames on a 4×2 grid and cover idle, walk, run, jump, and casting a spell.
To use one, load the PNG, set the frame width and height to the cell size listed on the sprite's page, and set the frame count. In Phaser that is a spritesheet load, in Godot an AnimatedSprite2D with the sheet split into columns and rows, in Unity the Sprite Editor's grid slicing. If you need a motion that isn't here, the generator draws a new sheet from a short description.
